About Me
My Background
Hello, my name is Samantha Jones! I am a dedicated music teacher with 6 years of private music teaching experience. I offer private Piano, Voice, and Ukulele lessons, helping students discover their love for music through performance and creative expression.
My own musical journey began right here in Edson at the age of 8 when my parents enrolled me in piano lessons. Throughout high school, I remained devoted to my musical pursuits and found a home in Band class. It was during this time that I discovered my love for composing and songwriting.
I then went on to university to achieve a Bachelor of Music in Jazz and Contemporary Popular Music with a Major in Composition at MacEwan University. The program provided me with valuable opportunities to write for and perform with various ensembles.
Sharing My Passion
During my time at MacEwan University, I also explored the realms of voice, music technology, and film scoring. After finishing my Music Degree, I taught full-time at a music studio in Sherwood Park where I gained a wealth of knowledge and love for teaching music. Now, having returned to my beloved hometown of Edson, I am thrilled to have the opportunity to contribute to the community that has nurtured my own love for music.
